Installed TT Deluxe February 24, on Windows 11 PC. Started working tax return input. As income entered (1099-INTs) TT Tax Refund status tile in upper ribbon is updating as expected. Thursday, Feb 26th, start TT, TT updates. Resume input in income section. Friday, Feb 27th, TT updates and resumed income input. Notice TT Federal Refund status tile NOT updating. Saturday Feb 28th, started TT, no updates, again resumed income section input. TT Federal Refund status tile still NOT updating.
At this point stopped input and am asking why Refund status tile is not updating. Is this normal behavior? Hasn't been in the past. Tile always updates on completion of a 1099.
What needs to happen to correct this issue?
Thanks!

Try a manual update of the program.
Update your TurboTax Windows software using the "Check for Updates" method, click on the following link for instructions on how you can get the latest federal program update: Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software
Thank you for the approach and link. Did follow and TT is now back to normal.
But there is another issue. Why, when TT updates, do you have to reactivate TT? You have to reactivate or TT won't start. And, on top of that, after reactivation, TT resets window size/position and takes you back to beginning pages and not to the page where you were at in the tax return when you saved the return. This creates confusion. Is this being corrected? This issue has existed for years and is really frustrating.
The reason that you have to reactivate is because another instance of TurboTax is running on the computer. When it updates it thinks it's already running.
It does go back to the beginning pages when it restarts. It doesn't really save where you're at.
The Resetting screen size and position, however, sounds like the settings on your system and not the TurboTax program.
Thank you for the reply.
Though the part of screen size and system settings is incorrect. If you double click one of the tildes '~' files, then TT opens back to window size and position on your screen. The TT shortcut does not and the saved file (non ~) does not.
In summary, if you want to pick up where you left off, you must go through the ~ files to find the one that is accurate for where you stopped work and performed a save. An incrediblely poor design for TT. No other program has this handicap. I hope TT fixes this flaw.
