Is it all W2 income or is some of it self employment income or capital gains?

Did you have health insurance all year?  was any of the income from a retirement distribution and you're younger than 59 1/2 years old?

All passive income from social security or 1099R (retirement).

I put income of 65193 into a W2 and then deduct the 120000 standard deduction leaving 53193 as taxable income and the tax computed is $7638...so it appears that TT is correct.  Thats coming directly from the IRS Tax Tables

What is your age? Standard deduction for Single age 65+ is $13,600.
@Lisa995  All income is from social security or 1099R (retirement).  Not all Soc Sec is taxable.

I just grabbed the taxable income amount that the OP provided and it appears to match up with the tax shown in the tax tables.
