2017 TurboTax: Under the IRA advice section it says: if you contribute to a 2017 traditional IRA by April 18, 2017. Should it not read 2018?

Correct, it is a typo that will be corrected in a future update.

The day of the money is incorrect also. The correct deadline is April 17, 2018.
