1099r rollover: I rolled over a 401K. I received a 1099R but I forgot to enter it on my return. Do I need to file an amended return?

1099r rollover: I rolled over a 401K. I received a 1099R but I forgot to enter it on my return. Do I need to file an amended return?
If it has a code G then I would not. If the IRS does send a letter then you can answer the letter that it was a non-taxable rollover. That can usually be done by calling the number on the letter.
