1099r is for retirement payments and is not an annuity as it is being treated
I have a pension from the state and Turbo tax is treating it like an annuity. This is not correct. How to I change this?
Then the software takes me down a road of questions about disaster relief and this is not correct either.

Say all of it is the RMD. If you are 70 1/2 it will ask you if it is the RMD. Say yes. Anything your pension pays you is considered to be the RMD.

I, too, have posted 1099-R income from a pension but it is being treated as an annuity with needed RMD. In another place, I get questions about a qualified disaster distribution even after answering "NO" what to do? I see two other people have this same question. Is there any way to actually talk to someone at Turbo Tax so I can move on?
