1099r for Roth IRA should not be taxable
If box 7 has code "B" then the software will not calculate tax.
If the code is "J," (early distribution from Roth) and there is an amount in box 5, the software will only calculate tax and penalty on the difference between box 1 and box 5.
In neither is the case, the software will ask follow up questions, asking you for your previous Roth contributions, so that that amount is not taxed.
