Hi my husband is currently an apprentice for sheet metal workers union. While he was in school a few weeks of the year he was compensated for his time while in school and received a 1099 NEC for the amount. When I enter this turbo tax requires business codes which is not provided and I am unsure how to enter this. Is this an other income? Or am I complicating this form. Last year I had my taxes done and it was on a schedule SE form 1040. Can someone help me with this?
Thank you

Yes, we can help. You are completing the correct form, Schedule C. As far as the business code you can choose from the list in the link or you can simply use 999999 which is a 'catch all' number to use. The business address is most likely your address if there is no separate business location belonging to your husband.
Any net profit will flow to Schedule SE and also the 1040. You can preview your 1040 and Schedules 1,2, and 3 before you file.
For TurboTax Desktop, change to 'Forms' and review the forms
