You military retirement is not tax exempt even if you were in a combat zone during your military service.  On a a pension for disability is not taxed.

As @GeorgeDenseff mentioned, combat zone is not tax exempt on military retirement pay. It is exempt only for active duty military pay. Regardless though, thank you for your service as I have deep respect for service members that served in the military
