Why is Turbo Tax is not letting me enter social security income?

The software just kicks back to the Wages and Income Main Page.

If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies, and return to the Retirement section to enter your SSA-1099.

I'm using Turbo Tax Desktop. I think it is a glitch in the software. I spent time on the phone with Turbo Tax this past weekend. They finally suggested that I reinstall the program. I did that and it still didn't solve the problem

I found that I was unable to enter the social security values and the TurboTax instructions were worthless. I succeeded when I deleted the social security worksheet and restarted the program. This then allowed the social security option to be displayed and I could enter my data.

I had the same issue. I resolved the issue by going to "Forms" in the top right corner.

Open the form, "Social Sec" which is found under "Forms in My Return" in the far left column. This will open the "Social Security Benefits Worksheet." At the bottom row on your screen, click "Delete Form." Than go back to "Your 2025 Income Summary" and choose "Social Security" under the "Retirement Plans and Social Security" heading and click "Update."

This worked for me.

I appreciate the solution! Last year I spent an hour on the phone with Intuit, and they couldn't solve the issue. Kept trying to tell me that I should purchase Turbo Tax Premier. I finally gave up and enter my information using the "Forms" view
