I didn't  have a real question.  I just wanted to explain that my only income is from Social Security.

If Social Security has been your ONLY income for 2022, you are not required to file a tax return.

If you have had any other income besides the Social Security, then you might need to file a tax return and if so, you will enter the SSA1099 that Social Security sends to you in January.

Who has to file?

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

@urleen32-gmail-c while you are NOT required to file, if you had federal (or state) tax withheld, the only way to get the money back is to file the tax return....
