When will the IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)Form 1099-R section be available? The program indicates "available soon" as of 12/26/25 ?

It's incredibly inconvenient to not have this section available before the end of the tax year.

No one on this forum will know when TurboTax will update these sections.

As stated on the web page when accessing these sections -

When it's ready, we'll let you know using the email you used to sign in to TurboTax.

I bought TurboTax in November to plan for 2026. The program for Pension & IRA is waiting for an update. Please give a date for the update. Losing confidence in TurboTax.

@Robert207 you can sign up in the desktop app for email alerts from the section you're interested in. If you see the tool for form availability above and select 1040 a lot of the forms will be available in January, a lot are slated for next week so hopefully that happens and we'll significant updates starting.

But no one here has any other dates as the tool doesn't show it by 1099 just resulting forms for filing.

If you need something so urgently for 2026 that you can't wait for these updates then use alternate s/w or online calculators like this

It's mid-January (1/15/2026) and this section still says, "Available soon". We should have at least an availability date. I have all the information I need to complete this section, but CAN'T. C'mon INTUIT!

@yorkgmartin The Form 1099-R section is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 01/21/2026.

Appreciate a target date posted in this string of posts, 1/21/26. Had the same issue with email notification, it triggered follow up for the wrong form 3903, which has nothing to do with pension distribution. perhaps Intuit can fix that at least now, so we receive notification for the correct update request.

This stinks...H&R Block's download is ready. Can I cancel TurboTax and get a refund and buy H&R Block? I've used TurboTax for decades and have never had this g a problem! I guess answered my own question.

yes you can request a refund within 60 days of purchase and change tax s/w after decades, if you have an urgent need to input a 1099 rather than wait a few days

I have used turbo tax for years. First time they don’t seem ready for the tax year. I need to do planning and every day This section to be available soon.
