You need to amend your 2018 tax return if you were charged a penalty for an early withdrawal from a retirement account that was incorrect.

If the form is part of your return and is blank you do not need to amend your return.

Terri was excellent! I mistook my 401k as an IRA in 2018 - had to ammend the 5329 - it took quite awhile but we got it done! I appreciate her patience- she was wonderful - could not have done it without her - she had to get help from someone too - but we fixed it, In the end - this was the first time I did my own taxes and now I understand the difference between a 401k and an IRA - a mistake - I will never do again!

So, kudo's to terri- you have an asset of an employee with her! Thanks again turbo-tax and your staff, especially

Terri!

Have a great day and year!
