What are you trying to enter?  A 1099R or a SSA-1099 for Social Security?

If it's asking for an EIN number you are entering Social Security in the wrong place. There is no EIN on social security SSA-1099.  So delete it and enter it in the right place.

Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099  under

Federal Taxes

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit  button

After you enter it keep going.  There are follow up questions you need to answer.  Especially the next screen asks if you lived in a Foreign country.  Should be No.
