Two Form 1099-R for Same Account with Different Gross Distributions

I received two 1099-Rs from Raymond James for the same account number.  Box 1 on each 1099-R has different amounts and box 7 on one has a code distribution code of 7 and the other has a distribution code of Y,7.  The 1099-R with the Y,7 distribution code has the same amount in Box 1 as the QCDs I distributed from this RMD account.   I am not sure how to enter the data in TurboTax since it asks the same questions for the two 1099-Rs, e.g., "I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity", "RMD due by Dec. 31", and "amount donated to charity."

The QCD distribution is "I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity". It can also satisfy your RMD.

The other distribution was presumably not donated to charity...but it can also be applied to the RMD, if you did not roll it over somewhere (but kept it and spent it).

If these were two different distributions, even from the same source, there should not be a problem with the entries.

I assume I should not check the box to the question did "I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity" on the 1099-R that has a distribution code of 7 and check the box on the 1099-R that has the distribution code of Y,7.  Then enter the amount I donated to charity on that 1099-R.

For each 1099R just enter the amount from box 1 for the RMD.
