Search does not find my retirement plan company to enter my 1099-R information. Any ideas?

Many, many, many companies do not provide their 1099-R forms in the special format required to directly import it into tax software..

So you must proceed thru the pages to enter it another way...then to enter the data yourself.....using the paper 1099-R form sitting in front of you.

If your 1099-R is not available to upload, then you can type the information in yourself. Here is a list of TurboTax Import Partners.

To type your 1099-R in manually, please complete the following steps:

Open your return.
Search 1099-R with the magnifying glass tool on top of the page.
Click on the Jump to 1099-R link at the top of the results.
Answer yes to the question Did you get a 1099-R in 2020?
Click continue to the page Get ready to be impressed.
Click on Change how I enter my form.
Click on Type it in myself.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
