RE rmd boxes on turbo tax ind. filing. I get a defined benefit pension pd monthly. plan says no rmd. yet on TT question, TT says highly unusual. what is what?

A monthly pension payment is the same as a Required Minimum Distribution from and IRA for 401K. You should answer that the pension payment is an RMD.
