Question

Is there a current error in Deluxe software for Pension Taxable income? My numbers are correct, but the software shows a summary number over $200,000 more.

There is a current snag with some retirement incomes. Please be patient.

I worked with Turbo Tax staff to uninstall the software and download another version.  I'm inputting now to determine if I can get past the problem.

I have the same problem, plus another which might be related.  On my return the summary page for total 1099R withdrawals gives $85,190.99, while the summary page comparing 2018 figures with 2019 figures gives total taxable 1099R income as $256,010  --- and the tax due is calculated on the ridiculously high figure!

The second problem:  the 2018/2019 summary page gives nontaxable 1099R income as zero;  it should be 64.68.  Note that 256010/ (85190.99 - 64.68)  = 3.007...  It appears that entered something 3 times.

You need to go back into the program and double check your entries

You should review your 1040 and make sure that the numbers on your tax return are correct as the summary page does not necessarily reflect the numbers on your tax return.

After double checking your entries if there still are discrepancies, please compare your 2018 return to your 2019 return.

You can preview your 1040 in the My tools, tools, view tax summary,  preview my 1040 for the online version.  For the CD/Download version, go to the top of your screen and click on
Forms.
