When you complete the 2020 return with a fully operational program (sometime in Jan or Feb next year) then if you are eligible for the 2020 credit you will get it. Failure to get the credit in advance is not a deal breaker.

when you finish the 2020 tax return look closely at Line 30 of Form 1040. The credit should appear there.
