If yes, what is the penalty, a percentage?  Example, I removed $5000 what would my penalty be?

You will not have a penalty if you were over 59 1/2, but the money you took out is taxable.  It will be combined with your other income and will be taxed along with your other income.

How do I know my tax bracket since Turbo Tax does it for me?  Is there an easy way to find out?
