If i received a corrected W-2 with only the retirement plan box checked, do i need to file an amendment?
There are no contribution amounts in the subsequent fields.
No. Unless you have a sizeable income (over $62k for single and $99k for married) and contributed to an IRA for the year.
If you had both, your IRA contribution might not be deductible and you would need to amend your return.
