Question

I have foreign income from 2+countries on one 1099-R. When entering data to claim tax credit the software seems to allow only one per 1099. How do I enter others?

e.g. my fidelity 1099 consolidated 1099 shows foreign dividends from Canada, Netherlands, and RIC. but the software only asks for amount from one country, then the 1099 disappears from the list of 1099s.

Report these under one country and use "various" or "RIC" as the country. The IRS allows this type of consolidation without reporting each individual country.
