Question

I am retired and have no income other than ss and ira distributions. all i need is a 1040 but I can not get it on your site.

Not sure why you would say you cannot get a 1040. When you enter your information into the program, the software will select the tax return form appropriate for your tax situation--either 1040EZ, 1040A, or 1040 ("long form"). You are posting from the Free Edition, which can only be used to prepare the less complex tax forms--1040EZ or 1040A. If you have itemized deductions, etc, and need to complete a schedule A for them, then you have to upgrade to at least Deluxe.
