Does Turbo tax checks if a deduction is applicable to me when working in the software e.g., it states I can contribute in IRA, does it mean I can really contribute?

I am getting these options while updating information in Turbo Tax software? Does it mean Turbo Tax has already computed MAGI at the backend and hence giving me the options?

No. I'm retired and don't have any earned income like W2 or Self Employment and it always asks me about contributing to an IRA. That bugs me. You would have to actually try to enter a IRA contribution in your return for it to say if you qualify or not.
