if i am getting the standard deduction, does it matter if i enter our insurance premiums?

There is no difference in reporting SS disability retirement and regular SS retirement income, unless the person is receiving SS disability before they would normally qualify for regular SS retirement. Even then, they are both taxed the same way.

You don't have to enter the insurance premiums unless you are itemizing income.
