Question

Do I need to send in a 1099 for my husband if he is sub contracted to my business? We filed a joint return. My accounting program has a 1099 form showing total income.

I answered yes to a question in Turbo Tax regarding sending in a 1099 for him. I read a comment that I didn't need to if my taxes were submitted electronically. Yes they were but I elected to mail in the state. How should I proceed?

Yes, if you paid your husband more than $600 over the calendar year than you should send him a 1099-MISC since he does not own the business but worked for you (not as an employe).
