Can I file my return prior to actually depositing the funds into the IRA?
I am ready to file, but I will deposit funds into my IRA prior to April 15th. Can I file prior to putting funds into the IRA account?
Yes, you can go ahead and file your return before you actually deposit funds into the IRA. You do have until the due date of the return to make any deposits that you are reporting on your return.
