Question

Can I deduct health insurance premiums paid from by bank account to former employer retiree health insurance plan?

I am retired and offered retiree health insurance coverage benefit by former employer. The monthly insurance premiums are directly debited as an ACH transaction from my bank account by former employer. Can I deduct these post tax premiums paid?

FYI, currently working for another employer and not signed up for health benefit plan.

If you were self-employed you could deduct your health insurance premiums.  I doesn't sound like you are self-employed, therefore, the only way you can deduct your premiums if you itemize deductions, and then only to the extent that your medical expenses (including health insurance) exceeds 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).  It's a pretty high bar.
