Are payments from a nonqualified annuity ever RMDs? If not, why does TurboTax Deluxe tell me to contact my Plan Administrator or Broker to determine?

I entered codes "7" and "D" before TT asked the RMD question, so seems to me there should be no question that RMDs are irrelevant.

This is a case where TurboTax asks a meaningless question.  Since a code 7D distribution is not eligible for rollover to a qualified retirement account, it doesn't matter how you answer the RMD question.  (TurboTax asks this question for distributions from qualified retirement plans to determine how much, if any, is eligible for rollover to a qualified retirement account, but fails to recognize that the question is meaningless if code D is present.)
