Your previous year tax return should include a schedule of depreciation and amortization report.

If you prepared your 2020 Federal tax return with a TurboTax online product, sign into the correct TurboTax account, select Your tax returns and documents and select last years tax return for download.  Make sure that you download all tax forms, government worksheets and TurboTax worksheets.

If you prepared your 2020 Federal tax return with TurboTax desktop product, TurboTax does not retain the tax return.  The tax return is saved on the computer hard drive where the TurboTax desktop product was installed.

See TurboTax Help here and here.

Sorry, but the supplied answer did not resolve my issue.  I have no access to previous years data files, they are lost.  I need to recreate my Depreciation and Amortization Report for the 2021 tax return.

Thank  you,

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

Please clarify how many assets you depreciated, for how many years, and for what type of business.

If you have a depreciation schedule from any previous year, you can set up an Excel spreadsheet to calculate the depreciation expense for each asset over its entire useful life. You would need to understand depreciation quite well and follow the IRS rules found here: IRS Publication 946, How to Depreciate Property.

The easiest solution would be as @DoninGA suggests - request a copy of last year's return from the IRS.
