My husband is military. I have entered his W-2 and his rank was the same as last year. However, TurboTax is telling me I have to pay to file. What am I doing wrong?

Yes, you can receive a free file version if you are currently enlisted in the military or reserve personnel. Make sure you answer in the "My Information" section, your current active military rank, and all questions asked in that area. Also, make sure you indicate that your W-2 is "Active Duty Military Pay" so your discount will be applied when filing.
