Since she's not qualified for IL, she is an IN resident - if she meets IN requirements. There is no reciprocal agreement with IL.

She is with me in Indiana and worked all year as well. However she can't claim my residency due to she never permanently lived in Illinois.

Thank you, also since I don't pay Illinois state tax , is it correct Im not required to file a state return.
