I'm active duty military and my home of record is CA but I didn't live there at all in 2016. I don't know what to enter on the California wages, salaries, and tips page

If you were stationed outside Calif on PCS orders then, for Calif tax purposes, you are a Calif nonresident and would only file a nonresident Calif return to report Calif-source income such as from a rental property there.
