I’m active duty military and bought a house in Virginia but I’m a resident of Idaho how would I claim my expenses for the house

Thank you for your service. 

 

If you are renting out the house in Virginia, set it up in Rental Income & Expenses to claim expenses for it.

If it is not being rented, you can claim Mortgage Interest and Property Taxes as an Itemized Deduction.
