If you are e-filing your return, there is no need to send in your W-2.

If you are printing and mailing in your return, find the federal copy of the W-2 and staple it to the front of your 1040 in the income section. Only staple these forms to the first page of your 1040 – do not allow your staple to go through all the forms in your return.
