Why is it asking property taxes. I rent on own

If you do not own your home, you would not be paying property taxes (real estate) on that building so you would have nothing to enter in this section. Some people rent, but have second homes, and some state charge personal property taxes on other things, such as vehicles and boats. In that case, they might report additional tax paid.
