I rent out a studio located on my primary residence that I reside in. Should I include shared space when determining the percentage of property rented?

NO ... only the exclusive use footage can be used.

Level 11

The percentage of space rented is that space which is exclusive to the renter. Typically, this will be the bedroom. If you live in a house with 2 or more baths and one of those baths is only accessible from the room that is being rented, then that bath is also exclusive to the renter and may/should be included in the percentage of space that is exclusive to the renter.
