Lived in HI less than 3 months in 2025 and here on PCS orders (DoD civilian) and trying to file HI state taxes, but the "Hawaii Rental ID" page populates my FL home info and I don't see where I can edit or even delete. Any help is much appreciated!!

In the Hawaii state interview section, you will need to check the box on the screen titled "Enter Your Hawaii Rental ID#" that says Check this box if this rental is located outside of Hawaii, is no longer in existence, or the Hawaii Tax I.D. number is not available.  Then select continue to proceed with your tax return.

If you are in Hawaii temporarily and have an additional address, you can also indicate this on the state interview screen titled "Do You Have Any of These Situations."  Select the box to the left of I have additional address information, such as an In Care of Address" and you will be able to enter your Hawaii address here if needed.

Please see the following FAQs for more information that may assist as you proceed with your return.

What's my state of residence as a military member or military spouse?

Where can I find state information on filing my return as an active duty military member?
