The company made me pay taxes on the distributed stock in 2016, but did not buyback the private stock that got distributed to me. And the company went bankrupt in 2019. How can I get back the tax I paid in 2016?

you can't directly. in 2016 evidently the company had value and in 2019 it didn't so all you can do is take a capital loss on the stock.
