Question

I don't have a 1099-B but need to complete Form 8949 part II and Schedule D. I don't see an option to enter an investment loss without a 1099-B. Can someone please help?

Start off entering the sale as if you did have a 1099-B. On the screen where you enter the details of the sale, in the drop-down list for "Sales section" select "Short-term did not receive 1099-B form" or "Long-term did not receive 1099-B form" as appropriate.
