How do you report timeshare rental income from points?

All of my ownership in timeshares is in points not dedicated weeks. I pay monthly maintenance fees to timeshare company.

I believe you mean you rent timeshare units out and received points as rental income in lieu of cash. If so, you would enter your rental income as such on Schedule E, listing the points as your rent income. You can then deduct the associated fees and other expenses on your rental Schedule E.

 

You need to go to the Rental Properties and Royalties section in Wages and Income to set up your rental and enter the rent income and expenses.
