Question
I'm trying to utilize my audit protection, but the site won't let me enter an overseas phone number- I don't have a Canadian one.
I just got an email from the CRA saying that I received a benefit 2 years ago that I was not supposed to and that it needs to be paid back with interest- the issue lies in the fact that it was never revealed to me that I owed this money until 2 years after the fact, so how am I being charged interest on it? Add to that the fact that the notice I got from the CRA is dated Jul. 24th, a solid 9 days in the future from when I received it.
