Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I own a duplex. I live in one unit and rent out the other. I entered my real estate taxes, mortgage interest and mortgage insurance from my 1098 in 2 places.

Turbo Tax is supposed to apply the correct amount of deductions for rental and personal. At the of my return the amounts were incorrect. How can I correct these?

You should enter 1/2 of your mortgage interest and property taxes for your personal credit and deductions.

You would then enter the 1/2 of your mortgage interest and property taxes for your Rental Expenses.

You can just do back into those sections and change those amounts to be reported correctly on your tax return.
