Why is vehicle expense information not transferring?

2025 TurboTax Premier is not transferring vehicle information and depreciation from the previous year. I started putting the information in manually but soon was asked questions I wasn't sure of like total depreciation. I have copies of my returns from those years so I know special depreciation was used the first year but no clue how to calculate what number to put on total depreciation. Please advise. Hopefully someone will tell me that an update will take care of this.

Why is vehicle expense information not transferring?

The information you need will be on your depreciation schedule on your prior year (2024) return. This will show all the prior depreciation on each asset as well as the date placed in service and the original cost.  It will actually go faster than you think.

There was an update to Schedule E recently, if it didn't transfer you may need to enter the information from your 2024 tax return. The only other option would be to clear and start over, if you have not yet paid, to see if the import of information transfers to your 2025 return.
