The renter's deduction does not directly increase your state refund. It lowers your state taxable income. If you view your state forms you should be able to see how the deduction affected you return.

I can not locate the Schedule 1-a using home and business desktop. I am looking to take advantage of senior deduction, even if I don't qualify there should be a worksheets stating so.
