Is it really entered under maintenance? I was told it should go in a different section.

To enter a paid HOA fees under rental, here are the steps:

in TurboTax Self-Employed online edition,

1.  At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in schedule e and press Enter

2.  Select the 1st choice on the search results - Jump to schedule e

3.  On the screen, Income from Rentals or Royalty Property You Own-Do you want to review your rental and                        royalty information? select Yes

4.  Follow the onscreen interview questions about your rental.

5.  On screen, Review Your Rental Summary, scroll down to Expense section, select Start or Update

6.  Next screen, I'll choose what I work on

7.  Next screen, Enter Common Expenses, enter information under Maintenance Expenses
