Where do I report monies received from an investment currently in receivership? I deducted my total investment in 2017 as a long term capital loss.

Any money you get now will show as an investment sale with a $0 cost basis (due to taking the loss in 2017).

To enter your Investments sold

Click on Federal Taxes
Click on Wages and Income
Click on I'll choose what I work on
Scroll down to Investments
On Stocks, Bonds, Other, click the start or update button
