Where do i enter investment tax credit carry-over from previous year?

I had an investment tax credit on my 2017 return for the purchase of a plug-in vehicle as well as the installation of a charging station for that vehicle.  I had a negative taxable income in 2017 and therefore, did not use the credit.  How do I claim the credit on my 2018 return?

Sorry, I totally misread your question:

1.  Click Federal Taxes across the top.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Click I’ll choose what I work on.

4.  Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own.

5.  Click Start or Update by Energy-Efficient Vehicles, then Energy-Efficient Vehicle Charging Station Charging Station.
