When I enter investment sales due to a sale of stock in 2017, the Institution Name shows as No Financial Institution though it was entered. Is this correct?

Yes, the designation of "No Financial Institution" is used when you enter the information for stock sales yourself. There may be several transactions under this heading, but they are all reported on Schedule D. This is correct.
