During our foster certification process/preliminary inspection with CPS, we were informed that every "enclosed" (i.e. room that closes behind a door) room MUST have a closet and window in order to pass CPS inspection - this is whether or not anybody is actually occupying the room. We had a media room that did not have a closet or window, so we had to pay out of pocket to renovate it into a room with a closet and window in order to pass CPS inspection and obtain our fostering license. Is this deductible in any way?
