I'm unable to get TT to generate a long term stock exercise on Form 8949. I have tried entering a single stock exercise two different ways, such as an Incentive Stock Option, and then I tried the entry as an RSS. Both ways I select Sale Category "E - Long Term Noncovered" as shown on the 1099-B, however TurboTax is generating the entry as a Sales Category "B" Short Term event on the resulting Form 8949. I'm manually entering the 1099-B information.
I tried going back through in "edit" mode and have verified Sale Category "E" is selected and still shown on the entry screen. I have also deleted the entire transaction and re-entered from scratch multiple times, each time I select Sales Category "E" but TT Premier generates a short Term category "B" entry on Form 8949 Part I. Basically TT is ignoring my Sales Category "E" selection.
How can I force TT Premier to accept the Sales Category "E" selection and properly generate the long term entry on Form 8949 Part II?

Might be related issue here with 8949 - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/investments-and-rental-properties/discussion/espp-rsu-issues-on-tu...
Does not seem like TurboTax tested these types of transactions...I loaded up TurboTax 2019 and the way they are handling 8949s is pretty different than 2020 (not sure why)
Update: I reported this to TT Tech Support. They escalated to second level support. A ticket was opened with their IT department to investigate further.
